Rossendale’s Got Talent concludes with a celebration of local creativity

The final of Rossendale’s Got Talent was recently held at St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall, following a series of preliminary rounds throughout January.

Organised by the venue, the contest attracted a large number of entries and showcased performers of all ages from across the Rossendale Valley.

Performances that impressed the judges

Emma Ljevar, co-owner of St Mary’s Chambers with her husband John Patrick Ljevar, expressed her delight at the turnout and the quality of performances.

“We were overwhelmed by the number of people who applied and took part and by the incredible variety of talent on display,” she stated. “From singers and dancers to magicians and performers of all ages, every round showed just how much creativity there is in Rossendale.”

The competition showcased a wide range of talent, from singers and dancers to magicians and other variety performers, highlighting the creativity and skill across all age groups.

In the final round, singer Sylvie Knightley claimed first place, while dancer Isobella Grace took second and fellow dancer Olivia Howarth rounded off the top three, leaving judges impressed by the high standard of performance throughout.

Judges reportedly found the decision-making process challenging due to the high calibre of confidence and talent demonstrated by the finalists.

Celebrating community and planning ahead

The organisers conveyed their appreciation to Rossendale Radio for its assistance and to the panel of judges for their esteemed conduct.

St Mary’s Chambers highlighted the occasion’s success in fostering community bonds and providing a stage for local performers, describing the night as inspiring and uplifting.

Following the resounding success of this year’s competition, organisers have enthusiastically confirmed that Rossendale’s Got Talent will indeed return in 2027.

Such a decision reflects the positive impact and community engagement generated by the event. Plans to expand the scope and reach of the competition are already in hand, aiming to make next year’s event even more impactful.
