A major road closure in Rossendale has taken an unwelcome leap into the New Year, testing the patience of locals who have already spent months navigating diversions and delays. Deardengate in Haslingden was meant to return to normal much sooner, but the barriers will now remain in place until 30 January, leaving residents wondering what on earth is going on beneath the road surface.
